How Progress Is Calculated

The bot tracks your progress across days using Jira story points and logged hours.

Story Points = Time Estimate

1 story point = 4 hours of work. A 3-point ticket is estimated at 12 hours.

3 story points × 4h = 12h total

Hours Logged = Progress

When you log 6h on a 3-point (12h) ticket, that's 50% progress.

6h logged ÷ 12h estimate = 50%

Progress Changes Tracked

The bot remembers yesterday's progress and shows the change in your report.

Yesterday: 30% → Today: 50%
Report: "Progress: 30% → 50%"

No story points? If a ticket doesn't have story points, you manually tell the bot your progress % in the reply (e.g. UP-68807 4h 50%). The bot uses whatever you say.
